25 years old Mencía variety grown in our vineyard La Mendañona, located in Torre del Bierzo, on ferric clay soil at height above 700 meters.
24 hours cold prefermentative maceration. Alcoholic fermentation under controled temperature never raised above 25°C. Afterwards, the wine performs the malolactic fermentation and ages for 6 to 8 months in french oak barriques of 225 to 500 liters of capacity, before being bottled.
Bright red color with violet edges, middle cap.
Clean and fresh in the nose, highlighting the red fruit, floral and balsamic trails. Fresh and agile in mouth, easy drinking but without lacking volume and complexity. Balanced and good trailing and persistency. Again the tones of red berries, violets and balsamics stand out, with a mineral sense more accented in mouth.
